Who we are 

Established in 2022, The Institute of Executive Assistants (IEA) Africa is an international quality membership-based community of executive and business support professionals. The main goal is the comprehensive maintenance and advancement of the professional expertise, personal development and networking crucial in the profession of executive and business support professionals as well as supporting them through a period of industry upheaval and transition. The profession is going through major changes to embrace the digitalization of the business world and the new working methods. The Institute aims to be a step ahead in future developments to meet the requirements of the current members and to be attractive to the generations Y and Z now entering the business world. We exist to help the world’s leading executive assistants and administrative professionals break out of their task-master role to become forward thinking leaders within their organizations, through the use of highly empowering resources, training and education.

Our vision is to create a network for African executive-level assistants and administrative professionals working in both private and public sectors, and to support their personal and professional development based on excellence and professionalism.

We strive to provide administrative professionals the support, opportunity to learn, grow and thrive by encouraging all members to add to their individual competencies, advance their leadership skills, realize their value in the workplace and community, and have confidence to excel in their careers by offering cutting edge resources and high-quality member events that increase the members’ level of professional knowledge and broaden their outlook.
